Meridian Welcomes Industrial Designer

Aberdeen, NC –  June 7, 2017 – Meridian Kiosks has added Industrial Designer, Dominic Atibil to its team in Aberdeen, NC. “Dominic is a great asset to the Sales and Marketing Team and the Engineering Department,” said Chris Gilder, CEO.

“He’s able to understand what our client’s needs are, what the use case is, what components are needed and then turn the conceptual renders into production ready models to be used by our fabrication department.”

Atibil will be working with the Sales and Marketing Teams to conceptualize new client projects and create production-ready models for the Engineering Department. “We’re extremely excited to have Dominic here. His ability to provide photorealistic images to customers quickly, while effectively communicating design intent will help us tie in the Marketing and Sales efforts with the Engineering Team to create one cohesive unit,” said Bob Hubert, Director of Manufacturing.

Atibil recently graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design. “I’m excited to join the Meridian Kiosks team,” said Atibil. Every indication shows that kiosks are the future, and I’m excited to play a role in Meridian’s progress as a leader in the self-service industry.

Atibil previously worked for IMMI where he participated in a Co-Op program through Purdue University. While at IMMI, Atibil developed sketches, storyboards, and renderings of new products to communicate new concepts for feedback in early product development and prepared detailed drawings that specified color, materials, textures, and exact dimensions for sample quotes, and rapid prototyping.

“Dominic has been working with Meridian in a contract role over the past six months. His ability to understand client expectations and visualize how custom solutions can enhance user experience has proven invaluable,” said Marketing Manager, Stephanie Mewherter. “We’re overjoyed to have him as a full-time member of the Meridian team.
