Meridian Kiosks Seeks Director of Manufacturing


Meridian Kiosks is looking to immediately fill a Director of Manufacturing position. This individual would be responsible for overseeing all areas of manufacturing, ensuring all products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. The desired candidate is someone who will bring knowledge and creativity to the position as well as have the discipline to drive results and follow established fundamental processes.


Job Duties

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop the manufacturing plan and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
  • Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
  • Act as liaison between department management/subordinate levels, as well as, executive/department manager levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies, and all matters that affect their performance, attitude, and results.
  • Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure compliance through documentation of company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.
  • Collaborate with engineering on  design of new products and modifications of existing products.
  • Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and assembly teams during new prototype or production builds
  • Ensure compliance through documentation of company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.
  • Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.  Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.


Education + Experience

  • BA/BS in Operations Management or a 4-year technical degree in a related discipline
  • 10+ years experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operations and/or related industry.
  • 5+ years experience managing a significant segment of a large manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer.
  • Design experience using SolidWorks
  • CSWP or CSWE Certification a bonus
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 systems with leadership in business system development and implementation a plus


Skills + Abilities

  • Computer proficient with the ability to present functional specifications to the MIS department.
  • Experience working with manufacturing based technology .
  • With limited supervision and quality work ethic, functions as a member of a customer-driven quality team whose goal is to ensure that product quality requirements established by the customer have been achieved.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to develop teamwork among staff.
  • Must be diplomatic and possess good human interaction skills.
  • Holds oneself accountable for doing whatever is needed to meet the commitments made around project outcomes.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines and the ability to be flexible.
  • Thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific equipment to be operated.
  • Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment, read drawings and blueprints, and be familiar with common machine tool.


Salary Range: Depending on experience
